can any one tell me if it is worth paying an extra 拢150 for a water view for the week,should i book now or does the price normally come down with specials or discount codes,or if anyone could tell me of a good room in the p orleans fq,thanks

I%26#39;ve never paid extra for a water view, because it%26#39;s either of the river or the pool, neither of which are of great interest to me. They have such beautiful garden areas at POFQ, that I have always preferred a garden view.

You didn%26#39;t mention when you are travelling, but if you are coming during spring break or another busy time, there probably won%26#39;t be any discounts available. In the past, if I have a reservation and a discount becomes available later, I%26#39;ve just called and given them my reservation number and asked if it%26#39;s possible to get the room at the discounted rate. Most of the time I%26#39;ve been able to either do it, or do a confirmed upgrade for the same price.

How do I find out if they have discounted rates? I am ready to book port orleans for end of April/Early May. Is there an off season time that has discounts?

hey ,thanks fla4fun we are going to stay at po fq for a week on 15 sept,been quoted $1200 for a water view ,i suppose thats the cheapest im going to get it

If you are looking for special rates, the first place to look is at the special offers on Disney%26#39;s website. Sometimes it%26#39;s even better to call their reservation office and ask them what discounts are available. The reps on the phone seem to have access to everything at once and can be very helpful in getting you the best deal for your money.

We enjoyed our view of the River when we had waterview room. If I were you, I would probably just book a gardenview room now. Then when you get there in Sept. you may could get a free upgrade to a waterview room since it isn%26#39;t a busy time of year. If you can%26#39;t get waterview upgrade for free you may could step out and look around for a minute before you check-in and decide whether you really think you would want to pay extra for it. If for some reason they didn%26#39;t have any waterview rooms available when you get there, as healin1 said the grounds there are beautiful either way.

we are booked at french quarter for 14 nights from 15th May - we havent booked a waterview as such however i have requested the same room we had last year which was a great view of the river just next to where you board the boat, and we did not upgrade last year. At that time of year if i dont get my request do you think i might get an upgrade when i get there??

It is doubtful that you will get any free upgrades just because they can%26#39;t honor a request you made. They always tell you when you place a request that they will do their best to honor the request, but they will not ever guarantee your request. It has been our experience that they are willing to make free upgrades when they are found at fault for messing up something in your booking or if it is not a busy time of year where they have plenty of preferred area rooms available and they are trying to make you as happy as possible because the name of the game is repeat customers and free ';good'; word of mouth advertising. It really just depends on what time of year it is and if they have any promotions going on. You just never really know until you ask.
