Southernmost Point Guest House

Hi all...I am leaving in 2 weeks and have reservations at the Southernmost Point Guest House at the End of Duval. We are flying into Miami and renting a car and driving down...but we plan on walking quite a bit. We are in our mid 20%26#39;s so walking isn%26#39;t a problem, but how far of a walk is it to get to the other end of Duval where the action is?

They say Duval is 1.25 miles long but I think it is 1.4 miles. You won%26#39;t have a problem, and there are several places closer to you than from the other side of Duval.

Hopefully someone who has stayed there will reply, but I go by it all the time and it seems very nice. That section around Duval and South Streets has gotten better and better the last few years. The Southernmost House has been completely re-built, and there is a small museum on the first floor.

You are right across the street form the Duval Beach Club and a few blocks from the Banana Cafe and LaTeDa, and Blue Heaven is two blocks over and about four blocks north on Thomas %26amp; Petronia.

One day walk west to the Southernmost Point, then all the way north to the Mallory Docks on Whitehead instead of Duval, just for a change. Look for the Grenn Parrot, Kelly%26#39;s, etc.

I%26#39;ve been past southernmost and it looks really pretty!! :) I didn%26#39;t want to stay down that far though but it looks like a nice place! oh and duval beach club is GREAT! right on the beach there--just a nice atmosphere and pretty cheap too!

Thanks for they replies...it sounds like we%26#39;ll be fine and close to plenty of places we want to visit. I%26#39;m a travel agent and want to really check things out! I can%26#39;t wait to get down there!

I will say though that on a hot day, it could be a very tiring walk from 1 end to the other. lol

I%26#39;m just worried that we%26#39;ll drink way too much....which you know is going to happen and then stumble ALL the way down duval st. that will be a long walk!!! Oh well...we%26#39;ll probably need the exercise anyway!!

LOL those were my fears!! luckily we stayed at casa 325 which is only like 2-3 blocks away from irish kevins, barebottom, sloppys etc.. :) it did suck on the 1 night we actually stayed in and didn%26#39;t drink though--couldn%26#39;t handle the noise!! LOL

Yea, we stumbled back to Olivia by Duval and my husband finally got a Pedi-Cab. I%26#39;m wasn%26#39;t very steady on my feet at that point.
