Free disney tickets for under 3's

Hi,

I was just wondering i have a son who will be nearly 3 when we go to orlando in May 2006.

However he is very big for his age and i am wondering if the parks ask for any form of id when you are entering the park to confirm age.

As disney and most parks offer free tickets to children under 3. i dont want to be stuck and the gate having to fork out money for my child if we do not need to pay for him.

but i also dont want to be lugging passports aroung because if you knew me i loss things very easily.

I have never had anyone question the ages of my kids. If you want to be safe, you might make a copy of his birthcertificate to carry along with you, but I doubt you will need it.

If you think you will have problems then go to Guest services of the first theme park you enter and find out from them what the best solution is.Its a long time since we had this problem and at that time, the people on the gate excepted our childs age.

It%26#39;s very rare that they will questions you but it did happen to me a few years ago while getting annual passes, my than 9 year old son looked and was the size of a teenager and I had to show he was 9.

We were there in May of 2005 and no one questioned my girl%26#39;s ages. One was 1 and the other 5. However, I was curious about this too. We will be going from Dec 2-10th, and my youngest will turn 3 on the 7th. Not sure if I need purchase a 2 or 3 day pass or try to schedule everything prior to that date. Good luck %26amp; have a great time!!

iowamom, Disney determines the age of the child at the beginning of your stay. If she turns 3 during your stay you do not need to buy her a ticket.

Thanks Saffys-Mum!! I wasn%26#39;t sure how to handle that.

No Worries! :)

Have you thought about carrying a photocopy of the passport instead of the passport itself? You could keep it folded in your wallet until you needed it and you wouldn%26#39;t have to worry about losing it.

Just bring a copy of the passport/birth certificate for your son. You never know-so many people try to cheat on ';under 3'; free tickets that Disney can and does check. Better be safe than explaining!Have a great time.
