visa help needed

I am confused about whether or not hubby and me need a visa and I just cant find the info I need on the visa web site.

Hubby got an sp30 speeding fine about 3 years ago for doing 33mph in a 30mph zone. Dont think he got a caution, just a fine through the post which he paid, and 3 points on his liscence.

I got stopped about 4 years ago for driving with a broken brake light and got a written caution through the post and a 20 quid fine. I didnt get arrested and neither did hubby. We have had no dealings with the police before those 2 incidents and nothing since. Do we need to get visa%26#39;s? I am in a major panic now as I would hate to be turned away at the airport! and as we fly in less than 3 months, is it to late to get a visa? ohhhh hell!!!!! PANIC!!!!!

My old friend CBR600

The jails are full of people like you protesting their innocence. I would lock myself up in a room to protect the public from me if I had driven with a broken brake light - some people!! Your greatest crime is having worked for dyson%26#39;s and sent me that rejection slip.

Your husband is a bit of a speedster though. What could he have been driving to get up to that speed? Perhaps it was a milk float or something - did he lose his round as a result?

Seriously

Please dont fret about this just go and enjoy yourself. They could not care less about driving errors - these are a fact of life for everyone - except the very rich who get lawyers to protect their licences.

You will not be turned away at the border and you do not need to queue up for the best part of a day to get a visa - the visa waiver will suffice.

Vegas - I love you, Thanks :)

p.s, why do people think they need to get visa%26#39;s then for a caution? Lots of threads I have read have said that driving offences and cautions require a visa, hence my panic.

Anyway how the hell are they going to find out that your speed junkie milkman husband got caught in his dray cornering on two wheels in Oxford in 1997 by John Thaw.

By the way aren%26#39;t those Inspector Morse books so very very boring. Only did four pages and it ended up in a holiday library in Malgrat.

I have just gone through the US embassy site and there is absolutely nothing about preventing you entering. They want you there to spend you English Pounds in good old Disney - they don%26#39;t really want to put any obstacle against that.

Thanks for taking the time to double check that for me, I really appreciate it, I couldnt find anything either, but I worry that i dont have anything to worry about y%26#39;know? :)

CBR, don%26#39;t worry my hubby has had points on his licence (sp30) for three of our visits to Orlando and he has never needed a visa.

Vegas, where have the flip flops gone?!

A caution for an offence (typically for a first offence) wouldn%26#39;t be something you get through the post so don%26#39;t worry, you would have had to go to the police station for it to be administered by a police officer, you are fine.

I am going to market them because they are so trendy. My team of lawyers have told me to withdraw those excellent photos because competitors like Jimmy Choo are going to steal my unique designs, that you were so gracious to acknowledge earlier.

It is not all beer and skittles being a fashion designer you know. Brits the other night, baftas, fashion week it really is all go for us designers.

I am off on holiday next week for a well earned break and chill out.
