Tampa City Areas for Hotwire ...

Hi there again,

Looks like I will be crusing out of Tampa, so now I am trying to book a hotel for the night before the cruise leaves. I am trying to use Hotwire for a good deal ... can anyone tell me what areas are close to the port. This is the breakdown:

1. Busch Gardens Area

2. Westshore - Tampa Intl Airport TPA - South Tampa

3. Downtown Tampa

4. Tampa East - Brandon

5. Tampa North - Temple Terrace

We plan on coming in 1 day early and hanging out before we head on to the boat. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you! :o)

Tampa City Areas for Hotwire ...

Stay downtwon/ybor city area. Marriott Waterside, Courtyard and Residence Inn, Sheraton Riverwalk, Hyatt Regency, Wyndham Harbour Island, Hilton Garden Inn Ybor, Hapton Inn Ybor, Don Vincente B%26amp;B Ybor.

YOu can visit Florida Aquarium, USS VIctory, Channelside, Hyde Park Village, SOHO district, Ybor City, Museum of Art, Tampa Bay History Museum, Ybor City Historical Museum, Bayshore Blvd., on your one day, no car needed.

Great info guys/and or gals :) Thanks for the fast response!

OK Bad news. I was getting ready to book ';Downtown Area'; on hotwire but its:

$121 per night for a 2 star hotel

$169 per night for a 3.5 hotel

This is way to much for just a place to lay our heads down before our cruise. But Busch Gardens area has a 3 star for only $55. Now I need to find out how far Busch Gardens will be to the port since we will need to shuttle or cab it there?

Please help ... :(

How about the Westshore/Airport Area, Howard Johnsons Tampa Stadium, Days Inn Tampa Stadium, La Quinta Tamap Airport, Tahitian Inn. All less than 5 miles from the Port.

Busch Gardens area is about 10 miles, and possibly a $25 car fare.

Hi, what hotel did you decide on. We are planning on staying a night in Tampa before our cruise and we our trying to decide which hotel to choose.
