I have heard that the beaches in this area are beautiful. However, are there a lot of shells on the sand and in the water that make it difficult? Is there a certain resort in the area that has the nicest beach? We would like a beach with a sandy bottom, not a lot of shells and rocks.
Naples/Marco Island Beach Questions
The beaches in these areas are beautiful and have soft sand. They are not rocky. Like any beach, there are some shells, and the amount depends a lot on offshore storms, tides, etc.
Naples/Marco Island Beach Questions
truthfully I have seen better beaches in Florida siesta key has softer sand, the panhandle has soft sand and clear water, but on any given day it changes. I often walk on Naples beach and never where shoes-- so it is not shelly, little to no rocks. On any given day though you never know if a bunch of shell pieces have washed up so just be prepared.
