We%26#39;ve been looking at the books and menus on allears.net and I am just wondering what are your favorites in each park? We want to have some kind of plan on where we%26#39;re going for lunch before we start each day!
Favorite counter service?

MK....Columbia Harbour House, food isn%26#39;t any better than anywhere else but it never seems to be crowded here.

AK.....I%26#39;m never there long enough to eat.
Favorite counter service?
Hello dedesmom,
Actually I%26#39;m not crazy about any of them that%26#39;s why we always book a dinner table restaurant at each of the parks also.
Magic Kingdom - Columbia Harbour House or Pecos Bill Cafe or Pinocchio Village Haus.
Epcot - Liberty Inn, Sunshine Seasons
MGM - Sunset Ranch for a quick snack or the Backlot Express for a burger, salad, sandwiches and dessert.
Animal Kingdom - not too many choices here so we usually stop at the Tusker House.
I like the Yakitori House in Japan at Epcot. I love their teriyaki chicken. I also like to get the ham and cheese croissants at the Patisserie in France (OK, I admit, I like the pastries too!) I also like the selections in Sunshine Seasons at the Land since they did their renovation.
At the Magic Kingdom, I like the variety at Cosmic Ray%26#39;s in Tomorrowland (it%26#39;s great if not everyone in your group likes the same thing too). I also usually end up at Pinocchio%26#39;s in Fantasyland at least once during a trip.
I have to admit that when I go to MGM, I usually eat at either the Prime Time Cafe or the Sci-Fi. So I haven%26#39;t really tried the counter service spots yet. I%26#39;ll have to try them myself sometime. Likewise at Animal Kingdom. I%26#39;m usually either stopping for breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe on the way in, or for lunch/dinner on the way out, so I haven%26#39;t tried the other restaurants.
We love the Pizza Planet in MGM because Toy Story is one of our favorites. However you don%26#39;t have much of a variety. All I remember on the menu was pizza, salad, and chips.
Do they still have that taco salad place somewhere on the left side of Magic Kingdom (Adventureland, maybe)? That was my favorite there.
well here it goes I made a small list of our favorite restaurants with remarks. I put it in my pocket so that when we were ready to eat we could decide what are mood was. And I was able somewhat control what my kids were eating.
MGM: Toy story pizza Planet. individual pizza, salad, desert, %26amp; drink. But has games that cost money. Eat outside.
Studio Catering: new name ';Flatbread grill'; great sandwiches
EPCOT: Electric umbrella - great sandwiches, kids have turkey cheese pinwheels
Liberty Inn - hamburgers, great apple pie. Time it for the fife and drum corp.
Yorkshire County fish %26amp; chips
MK: Pecos Bill - good burgers, kids-beans %26amp; franks
Pinocchio Village Haus - Great sandwiches, kids-turkey cheese rollups
AK: Pizzafarri - pizza, great italian sandwich.
Lastly there are several counter restaurants that serve rotisserie chicken. This is a great meal. We did that one evening because we had used a sit down for early breakfast. Made for a very inexpensive but healthy dinner.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. This whole trip seems to be centered around food!!! I made all our dinner reservations and it took FOREVER to finally decide on those! So now I%26#39;ll look at the menus of the ones you all recommened and take it from there....it wouldn%26#39;t be such a big deal, but my 17 yr. old daughter is a vegetarian...and really is motivated to stay with it!
Ah, vegetarian. That used to be a problem at Disney, but they are much better about offering choices for vegetarians and even the more strict vegans. There is a whole section of allearsnet.com devoted to vegetarian dining at Disney that you might want to check out. And don%26#39;t be afraid to ask if there are vegetarian substitutions that can be made. If she eats dairy, you can get mac %26amp; cheese at a lot of the restaurants (in fact, I was surprised to see a gourmet version with creme and gruyere cheese on the menu for Chefs de France - which I%26#39;ll have to check out sometime). She won%26#39;t have any trouble finding something to eat!
MK--Cosmic Rays (has more of a variety)
Epcot--Sunshine Seasons or San Angel Cantina
MGM--Sunset Ranch or ABC Commissary (kids favorite is Pizza Planet of course)
AK--Pizzafari and Flame Tree BBQ are both really good
