Character Dining

I know it%26#39;s wrong - but one of my favourite things about Orlando is the food. Saying that I have never done %26#39;character dining%26#39; - I though Chef Mickey%26#39;s Breakfast at the Contemporary sounded appealing but can you go even if you are not staying there? Do you just drive up in the morning? Presumably you can only do a character meal in a park if you are visiting the park that day. When you make a reservation by phone do you get a ticket or a number? Sorry I am a bit confused about it all....

Hello Chocolatebabz,

There%26#39;s nothing wrong with enjoying food while vacationing in Orlando! Yes you can go to Chef Mickey%26#39;s character meal even if your not staying there. And yes you would drive and park at the Contemporary in which they will give you 3 hours to park. Yes, you have to pay for admission into a park in order to utilize the restaurants. When you book your dining reservations they will give you a confirmation number.

Thank you healin 1 - it%26#39;s all starting to make a bit more sense now... Only 71 sleeps to go...

Your welcome chocolatebabz,

Not too much longer! I look forward to reading your review when you return!

I have a question about going out in the evening for dinner and the character dinners. We are staying at Port Orleans, so if you stay on site and have dinner reservations. Do you take the shuttle buses from the resorts to dinner in the evening and how much time do we allow ourselves to get to a dinner? I know we have to book most of these but I was worried that we would be late if we have to count on the buses to get around everywhere. Maybe someone can enlighten me on how all this works out.
