Hi there,
Anybody have a recommendation on a beach area where a group of law students could unwind for a week in March? We have absolutely no interest in the high party scene of Ft. Myers or Daytona, etc. but we would also like a spot with a few bars where we could hear some live music and drink frozen concoctions into the early AM hours in peace. The warmer the better, the more sun to read under, the better.

The sarasota area beaches are really nice and extremely relaxing. Siesta key is considered one of the nicest beaches in the U.S. and downtown Sarasota isn%26#39;t bad for nightlife.

There is no party scene in Fort Myers. Best live music is going to be Tampa (Ybor)/ St. Pete young crowd and good music each bar is different as to how roudy they are. Absolute serenity may be Naples. In March it still be cold on most beaches the further south you get the better, there is no party scene here during spring break (although a few kids come into town to visit their grandparents) Sanibel there is no spring break little music.
I would recommend Siesta Key!!! The best beaches and you can walk to the village where there are a few live music spots and great frozen drinks at The Daquari Deck! You can also drink on this beach! Enjoy
