Visits to other resorts inside Disney???

Hello!!

I am going to stay at Port Orleans-French Quarter, I would like to know:

1. If I am allowed to visit the lobbies and/or surroundings of the other resorts inside Disney??

2. May I swim in the swimming pools of the other resorts inside Disney or only in the swimming pool of the hotel that I am going to stay??

Thanks for your advice.

Garcita

Visits to other resorts inside Disney???

You can visit the other resorts all you want, but I think you have to stay in your own resort%26#39;s pools.

Visits to other resorts inside Disney???

Thanks Kats for your advice. I am excited about being in WDW by late April!!!

I will let you know once I return from the trip about my experience there.

Garcita

Hello Garcita,

Yes as Kat said you may visit other resorts however Disney does not allow use of other pools other than the one your staying at.

But how would they ever Know?

One of our experts will know for sure how they tell, but seems like it was a wrist band or something similar that identifies you are a guest of that resort. If you don%26#39;t have that resort%26#39;s ';identification'; tag, band, or whatever they use, then you can%26#39;t be in their pool.

Kat-Cubs-Fan. I鈥檝e stayed on site. There are no wrist bands are anything like that. Ya they could ask to see your room key but I think that鈥檚 very unlikely.

I鈥檝e never used another resorts pool whilst staying on site, but some people I know do. In fact they make a day of it and really enjoy it.

Who am I to judge but I don鈥檛 think I could do it. But whilst im sat by my relatively small pool they are living it up at the yacht club. Makes you think鈥︹€?

Vinny, I knew I%26#39;d read something about wrist bands at the pools, so I went back and found the post in a search.

One of the Orlando Experts, FLA4FUN, wrote the following in a post made recently:

';Pool Update: I was at the Beach Club Villas, which has access to the extremely popular Stormalong Bay pool complex. They have taken down the gates that you used to access with your room key, and gone completely to the wristband. That makes it much more convenient to step outside the pool area for a bite to eat, and then go back in. I haven%26#39;t heard if this will be the norm at all the resort pools, but it%26#39;s not a bad idea, and makes it a lot easier to enforce. I didn%26#39;t notice any wristbands at the quiet pools, but I wasn%26#39;t close to them often, and when I was, didn%26#39;t see anyone in them.';

So, some pools use room key entry to the pool area and some have used wristbands. Some probably don%26#39;t use anything at all.

I can specifically remember that someone said that the Yacht and Beach club give out wristbands at the pool.

Just as the previous posters said, you are welcome to visit all the resorts and eat at the restaurants and use thier services but it is considered more of a general respect for you not to use the pool at another resort since the guests at that resort are paying to have access to that pool as part of thier resort amenities and there are also crowd-control and security reasons.

As far as I know, I dont think there is anyway for the resort staff to specifically know whether or not you are a guest of that resort using the pool, but im sure that if you are seen leaving the resort in wet swimming suits and pool gear you will raise a little suspicion. I know that the Yacht %26amp; Beach club has certain pool entrances blocked off that are directly on the main footpath to keep visitors from walking directly into the pool area.

Either way. Have Fun!

As DVC members we are allowed to go to other pools. The exceptions are Stormalong at the Beach club and the pool at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, because they are so popular. They do use wrist bands. At other resort pools no one seems to care. We use our key from OKW to charge at the bar or for lunch etc. I will say during peak periods we lose the ability at any resort also.
