anyone know?

Does anyone know what a Disney imagineer is? I have seen other posts mention dining with a Disney imagineer and have no clue what its all about, is it some sort of character meal?

sorry if its obvious and I just havent picked up on it!

anyone know?

Understand a Disney Imagineer is an employee or freelance worker working for Disney usually in animation and/or computer graphics dept mainly involved with the creation and development of new carachters.

Do they still offer the dining package?

anyone know?

littlepc,

Yes, they do.

Disney Imagineers are the people responsible for anything new that comes to the parks. They create the rides from concept to reality, figuring out how to make the impossible possible. It%26#39;s a fascinating job.

I %26#39;ll do it part time.

I%26#39;ve got loads of great ideas like that one about combining The Munchback of Notre Dame, Phantom of the Opera and the Beauty and the Beach.

An untapped mine of ideas just waiting to be called an imagineer - that%26#39;s me. I think I will pop into Disney on Saturday and offer my services.

They might offer me Paris as an apprenticeship but that is probably beyond me!!!

I%26#39;ve dined with both an Artist and an Imagineer. It%26#39;s a limited seating, private dining experience at the Brown Derby in MGM. The experience is different every time because you never know who you will be dining with or what their background is. The Imagineer I dined with had been working on the development of Saratoga Springs, but had been with Disney long enough to have worked on several other projects. They may or may not know (or admit they know) the answers to all of your questions, but it%26#39;s an interesting experience. All guests receive some sort of gift at the end of the meal. We received a very unique (cool) plate with inscription, date and logo.

Also, they now have a Dining with WDW Animal Programs once a week at Jiko. Also a good experience.
