Local restaurants

We will be staying at The Atlantic next Sunday and Monday nights. Any suggestions for good restaurants? Coming from NYC,looking for some nice local restaurants and hopefully some warm weather. Big Blizzard yesterday!

Local restaurants

Hope you%26#39;re not tired of shoveling :))) !!

Here are some restaurants that are or were on the water taxi route....

tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g34227-i98-k459293鈥?/a>

But those are only on that route. There are several we like...will you have a car? If so, there are some expensive chains, like Mortons %26amp; Ruths Chris, but some more local we like are

In Ft Lauderdale, Primavera on Oakland Park Blvd. Many don%26#39;t like it, but the one time we went was excellent; Marks Las Olas. Also, while on Las Olas, try . We like the Rustic Inn (almost a total dump) www.rusticinn.com coupons)(next to FLL), and at the end of Commercial Blvd, in Laud by the Sea, Arubas Cafe. Just a bit N into Pompano area is the Sea Watch.....Good Seafood.

My second favorite Pizza is not Anthonys...it is Angelos on Garfield at the B%26#39;Walk in Hollywood. Bring you paddle, because the Brooklyn Boys will ask you to join their game. AJ (Bensonhurst-%26amp; owner of Angelos) is always beat up because it%26#39;s the othr guys paddle that did it..Most B%26#39;Walk 16 inch large tomatoe pie %26amp; pitcher of beer or soda is $13.99....and ice cream cones just went up to $1.25 from $1.00. This 1920s B%26#39;Walk is missing Nathans, but it doesn%26#39;t need it. Only a New Yorker could understand it.....

Favorite Itialian food %26amp; tomato pie is Conca D%26#39;Oro on Youngs Circle, Hollywood. (US Rt One at the circle near Hollywood Blvd). The tomato pie at Lorenzos Italian Market is N. Miami Beach (N 163 st) is excellent, and a new place just opened on Gulfstream Park thats supposed to be excellent....(too expensive for me...Lulu has the $$$. (LOL)

Sure Lulu %26amp; Others will chime in, too. There are lots of good places, in nearly everyones price range. Remember, those that search for the Morton Steak in the Golden Corral are usually disappointed.

Local restaurants

Left off: While on Las Olas, try Storks Cafe.....excellent baked goods.

Storks is great, lovely cakes, nice to sit outside if you can.

Oasis on the beach is good for casual dining, great view.

Thai on the Beach is cosy and intimate and good food.

There is a wonderful Indian restaurant just further north past the Best Western Pelican resort called the Nabab, we went twice in a week, excellent.

I liked the Floridian diner on Las Olas that stays open 24hrs too.

Thank You for all the suggestions! Not interested in the big chains but will definetly check out others. Just hope the sun is shining.

We will have a car. We are heading to the Eden Roc in Miami Beach after we leave Fort Lauderdale. Using my reward points whenever I can.

Your hotel , the Atlantic , has restuarant called Trina which is a current ';hot spot'; but very expensive. It might be a nice spot for drinks and a light meal.

We%26#39;re having a bit of cold snap now, but the forcast is for high 70%26#39;s and low 80%26#39;s over the weekend - at least at this point.

Be sure to go to Las Olas Blvd. - lots of great restaurants. My favorites are Le Bonne Crepe, Cafe Europa, Rino%26#39;s Tuscan and Johny V%26#39;s, but there are many others- and the Floridian, on the east end away from most action is a great breakfast place- was on the Food Network. O, and a big slab of fudge from Kilwins for dessert!!

One of my fav restaurants is Canyon on Sunrise Blvd, next to Gateway Theater. For more casual a good meal is any of the Flannigans..the ribs are fall off the bone good. Great seafood at Sunfish Grill off Atlantic Blvd. Daryll and Olivers Caffe Max, again off Atlantic Blvd is awesome. Incredible Sunday brunch at Blue Moon off Commerical Blvd, I would say best bang for buck too. Not the typical buffet style, you order some items off menu but can order as much as you want.

Thank You to all for input! We have had wind chills of 8 degrees and below,so 70%26#39;s sound delightful.
