If you guys cvan help me with this obscure one you really are miracle workers! I read on here somewhere about a place where you could dance with the characters- could it have been called something saloon or something revue?- think it had just been re-furbished- think it was on a disney property- thought it sounded a laugh but can%26#39;t find anything about it anywhere.
Sorry to be so vague but it sounded good and i forgot to write it down at the time.
Losing the plot!
Hello babymac,
You could be looking for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue at the Fort Wilderness Resort. It%26#39;s a great comedy, musical dinner show. However you don%26#39;t dance with the characters.
Losing the plot!
For a very brief time, about a year I think, they had a show at Magic Kingdom in Frontierland where the old Diamond Horseshoe Review used to be where the kids got to sorta ';square dance'; with Goofy and other Disney characters. It was called ';Goofy%26#39;s Country Dancin%26#39; Jamboree'; and we only saw it once.
Unfortunately, this show closed at the end of 2004 after only a very brief run.
This could be what you heard about.
I think I read somewhere that if you go to Mickey%26#39;s backyard barbeque - the characters there do line dancing and the kids can join in - they don%26#39;t visit the tables though like they do at other character meals...
From the words ';dancing with the characters,'; I would agree that it%26#39;s the Mickeys Backyard Barbeque. I went a couple of years ago and while I wasn%26#39;t thrilled by it as an adult, the kids did seem to love it and there was a lot of interaction (dancing) with lots of characters. The informal, picnic atmosphere was also more kid-friendly.
Hoop-De-Doo is also at Fort Wilderness, but the Barbeque is clearly more for kids, though they are both fun (and very similar menus).
