hotel near airport

Can anyone suggest a clean hotel close to the Ft L airport prefer with free shuttle service. We are returning from a Caribbean vacation and just want a decent place to stay for the night before heading home to Canada the next morning.

Do NOT stay at the Red Carpet Inn - Ft.Lauderdale airport! It would ruin your cruise vacation, trust me on this!

There is a La Quinta Inn in Hollywood, just south of the airport, which gets pretty decent reviews on this site ( I%26#39;m local so I haven%26#39;t stayed there.) It is at the south end of the Oakwood Plaza and is walking distance to several pleasant and reasonable restaurants. I belive they have a shuttle. You might want to look at the reviews to make sure I%26#39;m right.

I would avoid the Holiday Inn Air and SeaPort or any other hotels near it as that is a desolate part of town after dark with no where to go for dinner. Some of the motels on Stirling Road is Hollywood would also be convenient, ( Hampton Inn is one) but I would check reviews as some , notably one called Sirling Suites is reputed to be in poor condition. You can check the Hollywood Forum as many motels are south of the Airport in that town.

The Holiday Inn Express Conention Center on 17th St. is also popular and nearby. I know they have a shuttle to the Port and assume they have one to the Airport as well, but would suggest you verify this by reviews or at their web site.

There is also a nice Holiday Inn (a bit pricy) in Hollywood that provides a free shuttle to the airport. Check out their webpage www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/fllas for more information.

FYI-for more information regarding the La Quinta, see www.lq.com/lq/properties/propertyProfile.do鈥?/a>

there%26#39;s some really nice, and not too expensive hotels near the airport. Among them - Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Sheraton, Wyndham, Hampton Inn %26amp; Suites. Some are ';fancier'; than others but all are clean and comfortable!

Does anybody have an opinion about the Ramada Inn Airport/Cruiseport?

You will find several reviews ( most not good)at: tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g34227-d472238-鈥?/a>

I anm staying at the La Quinta Inn in Hollywood in a month. I read good reviews everywhere I looked, and i just needed it for one night pre and post cruise. We were booked at the Amerisuites, but that kept receing bad reviews.
