I%26#39;m reading the Discovery Cove Website and it appears that at least one person in your party has to do the dolphin encounter is this correct? This also means that person%26#39;s admission fee is going to be approximately $278? We are primarily interested in the snorkeling. Is the snorkeling good enough that it%26#39;s worth the cost?

Hello BFM,
No, I don%26#39;t believe one person has to do the dolphin swim, all of you can snorkel the whole day if you wish. I believe that would cost approximately $149.00 per person. Yes, we loved a day of snorkeling at Discovery Cove and do feel it is well worth it. Just a note about doing the dolphin swim. It does include free tickets to Sea World so if your planning on going there anyway it may be worth it to book the 30 minute dolphin swim also.

This is only a requirement if you book online. Give them a call...you can book with no dolphin encounter that way.
I think it is worth it to go only for the snorkel. You can still observe the dolphins very closeby without getting into the water with them. I am not sure, but I thought Sea World tickets were complimentary no matter which package you book.
I agree that the Dolphin Swim requirement only is for internet bookings.
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if you could help me with a problem I have. We are travelling to Orlando in April (yep, gonna be busy) and I would love to book tickets to Discovery Cove but I remember reading somewhere that the park is closed from the 1st till around the 23rd of April. I have been on-line and nothing is mentioned there. In answer to your question Boundformaui we had an amazing day there. We hadn%26#39;t ever been snorkeling before and we really enjoyed it. The weather wasn%26#39;t brilliant and when leaving they asked if we had enjoyed ourselves, we said yes but it was too cold to stay. To our astonishment they offered to have us back another day without charge. (without the dolphin swim and we would have to pay for our lunch too which was understandable.) Hope you book up as I would love to. Hope this helps

I just made reservations for 4 at Discovery Cove for April 12. They had availablity that whole week, so I don%26#39;t think they are closed. (At least not that week anyway!)
Thanks! Just remembered where I saw the posting that they weren%26#39;t open. It was a company called ';keith prowse'; where alot of British people buy tickets for theme parks etc around the world. Will go and have another look..
www.keithprowsetickets.com
just looked again, very confused maybe not offering tickets through that vendor? will try emailing Discovery themselves.
thanks

Couldn%26#39;t find a way to get through to DC via email so just rang them. Spoke to someone called Anthony, they are open on those dates but not for dolphin swims which is fine as it will be cheaper. cheers
