Hey everyone out there. I have been to WDW on multiple occasions, but again this is the 1st year 4 generations are going (me who is 24, my tiny 6 year old daughter, my 56 yr old mom, and 75 yr old grandmother). Last year when I was in Orlando, I really wanted to go to US/IOA with my daughter b/c it looked like it would have been fun. Well, I purchased my tickets and exchanged them the next day. I looked at the map and there didn%26#39;t see like there would be much for a 6 yr old to do. And also getting the locals opinions on whether my daughter would be able to ride many of the attractions. They were very doubtful that she would, so I cut that out of the plan.
Well now every channel that I turn to their is always some Florida commerical on, wheteher it be SeaWorld, Univesal/IOA, or even Disney. So when we go in 5 months, again my plan is just WDW and SW no US/IOA. From the looks of the commericals I would think that my family might enjoy some things at those two parks (US/IOA), but would that be a little overwhelming for their ages and just stick with the Disney Parks?
It just gets to me with the height thing. My daughter is a Jr. Evil Kenival (some people mistake her for 3 %26amp; 1/2). But I guess she get%26#39;s her height issue from her mother%26#39;s side especially (mom is 5%26#39;3';, grandmother is 5%26#39;0'; even, her great-grandmother is 4%26#39;11'; and her dad 5%26#39;10';), So I guess I will also have to look forward to the height being an issue for just a couple of more years.
If your six-year-old daughter is small for her age, and the older ones of the group are not in excellent health, I personally don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s enough at Universal/IOA to warrent the cost.
There are very few rides/attractions at Universal/IOA that would cater to all of you. Your daughter is probably too small for most things there, except in the Dr. Suess areas. The older ones you%26#39;re taking may not be able to handle the rougher stuff, which is what these two parks have for the most part.
With the group you have, I%26#39;d stick to Disney and Seaworld. If it were just you, I%26#39;d say go to Universal/IOA and have a ball, but I think you%26#39;ll be way too limited with your companions.

Yes, I agree that IOA might be a little much for your group, but Universal Studios might be fun. However, if you can fit it in your schedule without over doing it, it fit%26#39;s in your budget and if you%26#39;re not going to be there during a busy time of the year which might make you crazy, I%26#39;d say go for it.
We%26#39;ve been to US/IOA twice now. The first time my son was only 2, but he loves super heroes. We couldn%26#39;t go on much, but we had a nice time. IOA has Dr. Seuss Land and at Universal Studios they have a great kids area. It%26#39;s also fun to see SpongeBob, Scooby Do and a bunch of other characters there. For tickets be sure to check out the Universal Orlando web site. They sometimes run some really good specials depending on if you%26#39;re doing both parks and multiple days.
I agree with the others that IOA is probably you should wait a few years to experience. Universal Studios would be fine I think.
Does anyone Know of a beach in Florida that still not to expensive?I want to bring my whole family to florida (3 Families) for Vacation in June (I%26#39;m Paying for all room) so I%26#39;ll need 3 Motel rooms.Most of the larger beaches are just so expensive I can%26#39;t afford them.Thanks for your help.
The west coast of florida is still reasonable, check Clearwater Beach, Indian Rocks Beach/Indian Shores, Reddington shores/beach, madiera beach, treasure island, and st pete beach, all listed on www.floridasbeach.com.
I agree with Tampan, the Tampa-area beach towns are very reasonable. Also, condos in this area are abundant and can make for a less expensive vacation than staying in a hotel. June is ';off season,'; so prices will be less than now. Can all three families stay in one 3-BR condo? How about a 1-BR and another 2-BR unit? Most have fold-out couches for kids. You%26#39;ll save a lot on meals with a fully equipped kitchen. Also, you don%26#39;t get nickel and dimed by ';resort fees.'; It%26#39;s also nice to have a large unit in which to spread out. Some of them even have washers and dryers. Plus, this area%26#39;s beaches are very nice.

Check out New Smyrna Beach on the east coast just south of Daytona. A great family beach and town. Stay at a condo and you can get a really good deal--much more space than a motel room, plus a full kitchen so you can eat in if you want--especially nice for the kids..just run up to your condo from the beach or pool to grab a quick lunch or snack. It%26#39;s a great location to explore other areas, too, if you get bored with the beach. Daytona USA if you happen to be a race fan is lots of fun for everyone in the family--lot of history, interactive games, tour of the speedway, etc. Also just 40 minutes from Kennedy Space Center, which is a must-see. Hi, I went on trip advisor yesterday to find hotels in myrtle beach. The week we picked is actually bike week, way to busy,so now we think maybe florida is better. We are driving down so we did not want to go as far as Lauderdale. I thought st.petes would be ok as far as distance goes. If anyone can help as far as suggesting a 5 star hotel,i am real picky,that would really help us out.
Check the Don Cesar resort and Spa, beautiful resort(4 star), and beaches.
No more cold: My wife and I wish to relocate to a warmer climate and St Pete looks real Nice. I myself have been to floridas east coast. Not to impressed.
I do construction and the missy, she%26#39;s a office lady. It doesnt look as though we should have any problems finding work, if not in St. Pete theres still Tampa
any oppinions or advice for us would be appreciated greatly

You%26#39;ll have to be a bit more specific I%26#39;m afraid. Do you want to do any of the big theme parks - Disney, Busch Gardens, Universal etc? These can take over 14 days by themselves. Jan/Feb may not be hot enough for beach based holidays.
We will be in Madeira Beach the week of July 14-23. We are looking for a beach front condo that will rent for those days. We understand most condos only rent Sat. to Sat. Does anyone know of a condo that would rent for those days? Possibly one that would accept a 12lb dog.
Check our www.trsinc.com or www.ourcondo.com and www.floridagulfvacation.com for multiple properties along this beach. Some rent daily (although rare) but they also list homes in the area on the beach where a dog would also be permitted.
Try the SANDY shores condos.They accept pets
